Building a Strong and Effective Governance Team from a Superintendent’s Perspective

This workshop will build an understanding of how the CSBA effective governance system can clarify the roles and responsibilities of board members and the superintendent to function effectively and successfully as a governance team.  This session, designed primarily for superintendents, will address issues that governance teams face and how they can be addressed in a positive and constructive manner.

Workshop Objectives:

Analyze how the revised Effective Governance System, new definition of Governance, and the revised Venn Diagram will assist the governance teams to learn how to govern effectively with the focus on success for all students.

Discuss issues that governance teams often face and how they can be addressed in a positive and constructive manner.
