Dr. Candy Singh’s career has spanned 33 years in K-12 and higher education. She currently serves as the Professor of Leadership and Superintendent in Residence in the LaFetra College of Education at the University of La Verne. Before retiring from K-12 education in December 2022, Candy was the superintendent of the award-winning Fallbrook Union Elementary School District in Southern California for over 11 years.

Candy is well-known and respected for her work as a turnaround principal and superintendent, blending courage and action with grace and kindness to create environments that inspire greatness in students and adults. Her proven track record of transforming public schools has contributed to her reputation as an inspirational speaker, leadership coach, and consultant.  Recognized at the state and national level as an influential female leader in public education, Candy was most recently honored with the 2022 Exemplary Woman in Education Award from the Association of California School Administrators.

As the first college graduate in her family, Candy holds a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. She earned her doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of La Verne, where she studied leadership practices that contribute to employee effectiveness and job satisfaction.
